As of 3/14/2023: Route, cue sheet, and brevet card considered FINAL.
200k from Xenia, Ohio
Brevet Card - please print at home if using
We have featured this route several times during my run as RBA. Not much has changed, but please note the starting location has moved to the Xenia bike hub station. There is plenty of parking at the bike station, and a porta pottie. You will find me at the start and finish at the shelter in the middle of the parking lot. The restroom facility is closed for the season.
If you are seeking accommodation, I recommend the Hampton Inn on Progress Drive. The Ramada is now closed, and the other hotel/motel options in town are not great to say the least.
Please plan on arriving by 7:00am to allow time for your final bike prep, sign in, and pre-ride brief.
Buzzee's Take:I can't think of an easier 200 than the Xenia one. One heavy climb each way, lots of flat to slightly rolling terrain, little traffic. There is once again in St Paris a market ideally located for a late breakfast.(That probably means we'll have some fun winds! Again.)
Registered riders: be sure your email is configured to allow messages from OhioRandonneurs <OhioRandonneurs@mg.ridestats.bike>. This is the address for messages generated through this system.
Elapsed time is 9:14:41 per strava. I finished at 16:44 (4:44pm)
Roads were in good condition with light and polite traffic. Recommend adding the controls to the GPS cues.
Wind made this one TOUGH
Whew, guilty and also appreciative of the pre ride this time.
